Experience

  • Twenty plus years preparing Alternative Sentencing, Parole, Work Furlough, and Commutation of Sentence Proposals. More than 400 proposals for defendants prior to sentencing and for inmates applying for release from incarceration
  • Eight and a half years as a member of the Arizona Board of Pardons and Paroles; two years as chairman; two years as vice chairman, 20,000 decisions concerning inmate’s freedom.
  • Seven years in institutional and community programs with the Arizona Department of Corrections.
  • Three years as coordinator of a cooperative effort of more than 65 public and private community agencies sponsoring diversion and advocacy programs.
  • Designed and coordinated community wide Youth Needs Survey and then administered the implementation of the final plan of action.
